This is most strange planet ever discovered

Massachusetts, KOMPAS.com - Many extrasolar planets havebeen found and diverse character. Some of them havepeculiarities, such as orbiting two suns. Astronomers had studiedthe planet 55 Cancri e. The planet is orbiting a star 40 light yearsaway from Earth, and was discovered in 2004. This is the mostbizarre planet.

Research over the past few years revealed that 55 Cancri eentered the category of super-earth, mass 99 times Earth's.Observations of this planet do when planets transit in front of the star. Known, 55 Cancri e stopover in advance its star every 18 hours. So far, astronomers suspect that the condition of 55 Cancri e is very hot and cruel. This is because the distance of the planet and the star is very close, 26 times closer distance of the Sun-Mercury.

However, recent research reveals that 55 Cancri e was asalleged. Despite the close distance of the planet and its star, the planet has a liquid, including water. Liquid on the planet was notas envisaged, instead of the ocean as on Earth. The liquidcontained inside, and seeps out through the rocks.

The existence of this fluid strange because this planet's surfacetemperature reaches 1,000 degrees Celsius. According toastronomers, the condition is possible because each fluid is inthe super-critical conditions, the temperature is more than the boiling point (100 degrees for water), but remain in liquid form.As a result of water seepage into the surface of the planet, the planet's atmosphere becomes very hot and steamy. And, it can be detected from a distance of 40 light years.

The research was carried out by Brice-Olivier Demory from theMassachusets Institute of Technology and published inAstronomy and Astrophysics.
